"Thank you so much for moving us. From the first time I contacted you to the very end of moving day, you have all been friendly, helpful and professional. It was so refreshing to deal with TFM because everyone was so customer orientated. Moving day was stress free and the men who moved us gave us every confidence that our belongings were in good hands and that we could just let them get on with it. Big thanks to them. I can’t rate TFM highly enough and will definitely recommend you to anyone who needs movers."

Meet Some of the Team
DirectorHaving built up the business from scratch, Ralph has always been 100% committed to ensuring TFM is amongst the best removal companies in the South East of England. In equal measure his pig-headed stubbornness, attention to detail, vision and absolute commitment to excellent customer service has driven TFM toward his goal. Ralph still strives to deal with every customer himself, at some point in their removal process, and on the rarest of occasions he can even be spotted out on the lorries (even if it is just folding blankets and drinking coffee!). Lucky enough to have his sons working alongside him, he enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge, knowing that the next generation are there to help him continue to drive TFM forward.
Removals PorterTony began work for TFM in 2015 after moving to Essex from East London, he quickly learnt the ropes and is now highly skilled in handling furniture. His next step is to become fully trained in packing and export wrapping and eventually taking a course at the BAR (British Association of Removers). Tony’s cheeky east end persona and willingness to help anybody always make him a hit on removals and he regularly leaves customers not only smiling but in fits of laughter.
Removals PorterJamie has been with TFM since the mid-nineties so we think he can now be justified in describing himself as an established member of the team! Already having removals experience before joining TFM, Jamie brought his own knowledge and has since taken courses to fine tune his ability to export wrap furniture, pack china and glass and dismantle and re-assemble furniture. Like many removal men, Jamie is a unique character and has a collection and knowledge of reptiles which is second to none.

Tell Me More About Chelmsford
Chelmsford is the quieter, down to earth sister of Brentwood (of TOWIE fame), but while Chelmsford may not be able to compete when it comes to tanning salons, it beats Brentwood hands down for water meadows, quiet walks along the river and its beautiful flint-studded cathedral.
Very few people know that Chelmsford was once the capital of England when the seat of government temporarily moved to the city 600 years ago, but unfortunately, its reign only lasted a few days. And that’s another little-known fact – Chelmsford is actually a city, having been awarded city status as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Apart from being home to one of the best removal and storage companies in Essex having an office in Chelmsford, the area is also well-known for its fantastic schools, making it a popular area for London commuters who want to bring up their families away from the city. This, along with a retail revamp and thousands of new homes, has put Chelmsford firmly on the commuter map.
Chelmsford Location and Population
Chelmsford is located in the county of Essex in the East of England and to the north-east of London, around 42 miles from Parliament Square in the centre of London. Commuters can reach Liverpool Street Station in just 32 minutes. The urban part of the city has a population of around 110,000, while the wider area has a population of 168,310.
We have been completing removals in Chelmsford for the past 25 years and have seen Chelmsford expand in that time, with new settlements on the periphery of the city such as Chancellor Park, Beaulieu Park and Chelmer Village. The surrounding villages of Writtle, Boreham, Great Baddow and Broomfield have some lovely period properties and are also popular with home movers.
Property and Prices of Houses in Chelmsford
In the city centre, there are mainly Victorian and Edwardian properties that range in size. While a detached Victorian or Edwardian house could easily top £1 million, semi-detached properties are likely to range between £650,000 and £750,000. Smaller Victorian terraces are available for £300,000-£400,000. As a guide:
- One-bedroom flats – £145,000 or £700 a month
- Two-bedroom flats – £201,000 or £900 a month
