Mr Jones and Mrs Jones were planning to move from Wickford, in Essex to South Woodham Ferrers and as the legal process moved along they requested that we visit and provide them with an estimate, this was done by Josh on Tuesday 13th September 2016 at 16.30 in the afternoon. Here at TFM we generally carry out all our visits between 16.00 and 18.00 in the evening, however where needed we do try our very best to accommodate individual requests.

The customer wished to do all their own packing, using their own cartons and packing materials and do their own dismantling. It was explained that we cannot move loose items, open topped boxes and everything needs to be properly packed in sealed cartons. However during their packing they became aware that they had underestimated just how many boxes would be needed. We always try to help our customers and so were therefore able to supply some materials for them to finish the job.

There were a number of items which Mr and Mrs Jones did not want moved, these were all detailed on the special instructions which the removal team work from. This included some wardrobes, desk, bookcases, tool chests and bikes.

The move took place approximately 2 weeks later, on Friday 30th September and the removal team for the day were Adam, Nick and Harry. Mr Jones said ‘Your team Harry, Adam and lad were very polite’ As Mr and Mrs Jones were feeling under pressure on the day and Ralph joined the team and Mr Jones said ‘Ralph was a great help when disassembling!!!’ Suggesting that TFM helped Mr Jones dismantle to take some pressure off him. It is often the case that even the most organised of customers run out of time when packing and dismantling or don’t think they will need as many cartons as we suggest.

TFM do not make a drama out of a crisis and will always try to help.

This is a brief story of a recent removal carried out by TFM Removals. The customer’s name has been changed and has been blanked out on the satisfaction form they completed after the removal.
